This Faculty Lounge will focus on the Swedish social phenomenon of Fika (also Dorie Greenspan’s take on it), i.e. a friendly gathering where people chat and drink coffee/tea and mostly eat pastries, cookies, and sometimes cake. This seems timely as many have suggested that a friendly, collegial gathering that is focused on the social aspect of collegiality rather than the work aspect might be much needed for the WP. Coffee/Tea and some traditional Scandinavian treats will be provided. Feel free to contribute with a treat that may represent the “coffee break” culture of your heritage. Välkomna!
