DialoguesDialogues@RU is a journal of undergraduate work completed in the Writing Program course “Research in the Disciplines” (355:201), which teaches students the crucial skills of critical reading and thinking, scholarly research, synthesis, and analytic writing across the disciplines.

In this course, students complete research on topics in areas of study including the STEM fields, Economics, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, Film, and Literature. The papers engage a wide array of topics, but share in common the advancement of an important conversation from an original point of view. The writers have read scholarly texts, thought critically about them, and developed a written argument based on conceptually rich analysis.

Every Fall, the Writing Program offers an Editing Internship course for students who want to learn more about the journal editing and publishing process. Please visit this website's Internship page for more information about other internships.
