Transferring to a new university can be a complicated process, but students at Rutgers generally adjust quickly as long as they communicate with their transfer advisors regularly. Transfer advisors will help students to determine what credits have transferred and what classes they will be required to take. The Writing Program recommends that transfer students fulfill general requirements early in their Rutgers careers in order to avoid potential scheduling or placement problems that may delay graduation.
Transfer students should refer to Placement, Requirements, and Registration for specific information regarding the Writing Program.
