Course Description:

English for Academic Purposes I: Writing Across Cultures (356:155), or EAP I, serves matriculated undergraduate speakers of English as an additional language. It is a 4-credit university course that meets three times a week and counts toward the GPA. Through a series of reading assignments and related writing assignments, students will be asked to demonstrate increasing levels of in-depth reading, from basic reading comprehension to close reading and textual analysis.

Dropping English for Academic Purposes is not possible without a dean's permission. If a medical or personal emergency is preventing you from attending to your course work, please contact the Dean of Students office for help with documenting your emergency and for support in navigating all of your courses this semester.
