The internship meets on Livingston Campus from 12 -1:20 p.m. on most Fridays during the semester, but some meetings will be for small committee groups rather than the whole team. The internship also requires extensive online work.
Participating interns must be available on the day of the Undergraduate Research Writing Conference (URWC) on Thursday, April 11, 2019.
Interns will help organize and participate in the Undergraduate Research Writing Conference that will be held at the Livingston Student Center. Students will also work as student editors for a volume of academic research papers written by students in English 201, Research and Writing in the Disciplines.
Targum coverage of the URWC can be found here: www.dailytargum.com
This kind of internship looks great on a resume and is well-suited for students interested in editing or publishing as a career, students planning on attending graduate school in a field where participation in academic conferences is expected, and students who are interested in graphic design, marketing, or being involved with an important event that serves the Rutgers University community.
Enrollment in the internship is by special permission number only. If you would like to join the team, please send Lynda Dexheimer your resume with an email that describes your interest in the internship: firstname.lastname@example.org
The most successful candidates will be students with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and A grades in writing-intensive courses.
