Rutgers Writing Program

Spring 2018 01:355:396:03 Index 04741
Instructor: Lynda Dexheimer lynda.dexheimer@rutgers.edu

The internship meets on Livingston Campus from 12 -1:20 p.m. on most Fridays during the semester, but some of those meetings will be for small committee groups rather than the whole team. The internship also requires extensive online work.

Participating interns must be available on the day of the Undergraduate Research Writing Conference (URWC) on Tuesday, March 27th, 2018.

Interns will help organize and participate in the Sixth Annual Undergraduate Research Writing Conference that will be held at the Livingston Student Center. Students will also work as student editors for a volume of academic research papers written by students in English 201, Research and Writing in the Disciplines.

Targum coverage of the URWC can be found here: /www.dailytargum.com

Past issues of Dialogues@RU can be found at dialogues.rutgers.edu. Please visit the Facebook page at facebook.com/rutgersdialogues

This kind of internship looks great on a resume and is well-suited for students interested in editing or publishing as a career, students planning on attending graduate school in a field where participation in academic conferences is expected, and students who are interested in graphic design, marketing, or being involved with an important event that serves the Rutgers University community.

Enrollment in the internship is by special permission only. If you would like to join the team, please send Lynda Dexheimer your resume and an email that describes your interest in the internship: lynda.dexheimer@rutgers.edu
