Teacher Resources: Unions

Teachers at Rutgers are encouraged to join their appropriate union, either the PTL or TA chapters of the American Assocation of University Professors (AAUP). These unions represent all instructors in negotiations with the University, and teacher participation is an important part of that representation. In addition to the AAUP, there are other unions that address educational issues of national importance. These include the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) and the National Education Association (NEA).
