100R Resources for Teachers Homepage

Introduction | The Third Day | Standard Course Requirements and Policies | Grading Criteria | 099 Exams | Sample 100R Assignments

This page is specifically for the 099, or "R" component of 100R. For a full description of 100R and 099, teachers should see the 100R student page for 100R and 099 Explained. Teachers of 100R should also read the information on English 100. For Requirements and Policies for 099, as well as the Grading Criteria for 099, please see below.

099 functions as a helpmate to 100 for 100R students. The central text for 100R, as for numbered sections of 100, is Literacies. Students will read the same essays for 099 as they will for the 100 portion of the class. For the most part, the third class meeting each week should be considered as an integral part of 100. 099 assignments should, in other words, always lead the students towards their writing. However, students are assigned a pass/fail grade for 099 which is based upon separate 099 assignments.
