The Writing Program offers writing courses designed to meet the needs of a wide array of students, from beginning writers to those who seek advanced business and technical writing skills.  Courses like Composition Skills (355:098), Basic Composition (355:100), and English as an Academic Discourse (356:155 and 156) prepare students to succeed in the writing course required for graduation, Expository Writing (355:101).  Many of the 200- and 300- level courses will fulfill the second writing requirement.  Every semester also offers the opportunity for students to participate in classes that may help to advance their future careers, whether they plan to become lawyers, doctors, environmentalists, or business professionals.
