GradatoriumThe 101 Gradatorium is "the secret that has never been secret." In the Gradatorium we lay bare the criteria we use to evaluate the essay, the meaning of those criteria, and their application in actual student work. Our purpose here is to enable you to use this knowledge to improve your own writing, and so to improve your grade in the course. There are two distinct sections to the Gradatorium at your disposal. The first section looks at grading criteria and sample papers for a C, B, and A. The second follows one student in the course from the very first papers to the final paper.
