Business & Technical Writing
Business & Technical Writing is a division of the Writing Program and the Department of English at the New Brunswick campus of Rutgers University. We offer many courses for students seeking to improve their writing, fulfill writing requirements, or obtain advanced writing certificates to enhance their employment potential. Currently, students have the option of taking online sections of several of our most popular courses. In addition, Business & Technical Writing offers an approved SAS undergraduate minor.
Our courses help prepare students for work in a variety of professional fields and graduate schools. Good writing and verbal skills are the gateway to acceptance into medical school, law school, and graduate programs in areas ranging from psychology to natural science to engineering. The skills acquired through our program are major assets to any résumé. With these valuable credentials, our students are prepared for the rigorous standards of graduate education and professional employment.
The offices of Business & Technical Writing are located on the Cook/Douglass Campus, in the Loree Building, rooms 004 through 012. We can be reached at (848) 932-9273.
We maintain a Sakai site with extensive resources for students enrolled in Business and Technical Writing courses. Please log in at http://sakai.rutgers.edu and click on the tab "BTW Resources."
