The Rutgers Writing Program serves English language learners, multilingual writers, and international students in a variety of courses, workshops, and tutoring programs.
Incoming undergraduate students go through a placement process to determine the appropriate registration for EAD Fundamentals, EAD 1, EAD 2, Basic Composition, or Expository Writing 101.
During the academic year, students can receive tutoring at Writing Program Writing Centers. All Writing Program Writing Centers provide both commitment-based tutoring for e-credit and drop-in tutoring services. Students may also choose to get help working on writing, editing, and presentation for their classes in a weekly grammar workshop.
International Graduate Students work with the Graduate ELL Program and the Graduate Writing Program. Non-matriculating students and international professionals can apply to work with the Program in American Language Studies (PALS).
